I represent Executors (when there is a Will), Administrators (when there is no Will), Trustees, and fiduciaries (such as Successor Executors or Successor Trustees) in obtaining the necessary Letters Testamentary, Letters of Administration and Letters of Trusteeship issued by the Surrogate’s Court evidencing the authority of the Executor, Administrator, Trustee or fiduciary to gather or receive the assets, invest, manage or otherwise distribute said assets in accordance with Will, Trust or Statute. I also represent Beneficiaries with regard to their rights and interests in and to assets under a Will or a Trust. Such further representation of the clients as the Estate or Trust moves toward final distribution may include such further Surrogate’s Court proceedings regarding the administration, settlement and accounting of Estates and Trusts, and where necessary the preparation of State and Federal Estate Tax Returns.
